Terms of Use
Effective November 3, 2026
Heard is an app for every set you've seen or heard, ranked. It's made by Nicolo Ruffini, in Chicago, United States. By signing in to Heard, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Apple's standard terms for apps from the App Store apply too.
Who can use Heard
- You're 13 or older, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms.
- One person, one account. Not someone else's, and not if we've banned you.
Your account
- You sign in with your Apple ID. Keep it secure: what's done from your account is on you.
- You can delete your account any time: Settings → Delete account. It's deleted immediately, as the Privacy Policy explains.
What's public
What you put in Heard is seen by everyone signed in to it: your profile, your logs, rankings, scores, notes, photos and clips (unless you make a post's photos and clips private), who you follow, and names you add for everyone. People can share links to your posts, and people who see your photos and clips can save the public ones and share links to them. Don't post anything you want kept private.
Your content
- What you post is yours.
- You let Heard store it, show it to people on Heard, and make the copies that takes (a smaller version of a photo or clip, a backup), only to run Heard. That ends when you delete it, apart from backups, which keep it until they expire (Privacy Policy → Backups).
- Names you add for everyone (an artist, venue, festival, event, or stage) stay in Heard after you delete your account, without your name on them, because other people log against them.
- Post only what you have the right to post.
The rules
No tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Don't post, or use Heard to:
- hate: slurs, or attacks on people for who they are;
- harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate anyone;
- share sexual content, anything that sexualizes a minor, or intimate images of anyone without their consent;
- promote violence or self-harm;
- share someone's private information;
- pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who you are;
- spam, scam, or advertise;
- add fake or misleading artists, venues, festivals, events, or stages;
- break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, or other rights;
- scrape Heard, automate it, get around its limits, or attack it.
How we keep Heard safe
- A word filter checks usernames, names, cities, bios, notes, and every name added for everyone against a list of words we don't allow.
- Report anything that breaks these rules: a person, a post, a photo or clip, or a name someone added (an artist, venue, festival, event, or stage). Tap ••• on it, then Report.
- Block anyone: neither of you sees the other's profile or logs.
- We review every report within 24 hours and act on what breaks these rules. You can also email support@heard.club, including about anything illegal.
- We can remove a note, a photo or clip, or a name that breaks these rules.
- We can ban an account that breaks them. A ban is always decided by a person who has looked at what happened, never automatically. It deletes the account and everything in it, and keeps its Apple ID from signing up to Heard again.
- If we remove something of yours, or ban your account, we'll tell you why at the email Sign in with Apple shared with us. If you think we got it wrong, reply and we'll look again.
Music and other services
- Artist and track info comes from Apple Music. Links open Apple Music or Spotify.
- Heard isn't connected to, or endorsed by, the artists, venues, festivals, or services it names. Their names and marks belong to them.
Test versions
Versions of Heard on TestFlight are still being built: things can change, break, or go away.
Heard as it is
- Heard is free and provided as it is, without promises that it will always work, be error-free, or keep every feature.
- As far as the law allows, Heard and its maker aren't responsible for indirect losses, or for what other people post.
- Nothing here takes away rights you have under the laws where you live.
Ending
- You can stop using Heard and delete your account any time.
- We can suspend or ban an account that breaks these terms, as above.
- We may stop offering Heard. If we do, we'll tell you in the app first, with time to ask for a copy of your data.
Changes
When these terms change, we'll post them here with a new date. For a change that matters, we'll tell you in the app first. Using Heard after that means you accept them.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, USA, except where the law where you live says otherwise.
